Yes, good things are going to happen. I love it when a sentiment can be used to provide inspiration and positivity for someone. Good things are going to happen for many reasons and you just might know of someone that could sure enjoy a card like this. It is just the perfect stamp set that’s called You’ve Got this. A great stamp set to have in your stash to use for anyone that may need some encouragement or is going through some tough times. It is a keeper. Debbie Details: better known as Debbie’s Deets! So here’s the deets! Ready? This is your standard A2 (5-1/2″ X 4/14″) card using Bermuda Bay for my base and a layer cut about a 1/4″ less than the base in the oh so lovely Cherry on Top 6″ X 6″ pack! You are going to see me using lots out of that pack. It offers such fun, bright, cheerful colors that lend itself well for sentiments like this one. See the white piece? The little swirly gigs are just like the beautiful paper for this card! Or quite similar! I enjoyed figuring that out. Aren’t I nice for letting you know that so you won’t have to figure it out all on your own? I know. 🙂 I cut a couple sizes smaller of some Bermuda Bay and Whisper White card stock because I wanted to “showcase” that awesome paper that MATCHES the stamp set “Sweet Stack.” Isn’t that just awesome that it does??!! Love how it coordinates so nicely. Awesome sauce. So by making those pieces smaller, you get to see that beautiful paper. I wanted to added a little more pizazz to the whisper white piece so I added two Bermuda Bay candy dots and a cute little bow of Bermuda Bay THICK twine (cuz you know we offer the smaller scale twine, too) for your twine option pleasure! I like to balance embellies in 3’s, but instead of adding three Candy Dots (which would look quite nice, too) I added the darling twine bow. I like it when I’m able to have the opportunity to cut the ribbon a bit longer to hang over and down on things. Like this one. I do need to admit right now…Bermuda Bay is one of my favorite colors in the Stampin’Up! color collection. It’s just a “good mood” color. I’m sure you know what I’m talkin’ about. A fun color to have in your ink stash collection. It’s also nice with Crumb Cake color, gives a vintage-y feel when they’re paired together. That was an added “bonus” tip for you today. Awwwww, I’m always happy to offer little bits of “bonus” tips for you. One thing to note: I did not even get out Mr. Big Shot for this one. It is rare I don’t use that great tool. But, I managed and I’m quite fond of this inspiring card.
Perhaps you have someone in mind that could use a thought like this one sent their way. This stamp set is very “stash worthy!” Remember to check out the NEW amazing Holiday 2015 catalog!! It’s so beautiful, you will love it and the bundles are awesome in value and incredible design. Handmade for the Holidays, ready to start making your Holiday cards? Let’s do it! Have a great day and make some time to stamp, you deserve it!

We are all grateful for someone in our lives, or grateful for someone and their kind deeds, or grateful for a best friend friendship, or grateful for our families, grateful to our children, the list could go on, but I hope you can grab a cup of coffee or some hot tea and stay awhile. It is a special post because it is for someone who is truly a blessing in my life and I will be forever be grateful to.
This card used a BRAND NEW stamp set out in the NEW Holiday catalog (have y’all taken a peek at it yet?) called, are you ready??? ACORNY Thank you! NO it’s not “corny” like you’re thinkin,’ it’s about a sweet little ACORN. Isn’t that the cutest name ever for a precious stamp set???!!!! It’s such a delightful set and brings us great little acorn images with a coordinating PUNCH! Isn’t that great for the little acorn image? It says thank you to SU! (stampin’Up!) ~ It has some wonderful sentiments that are very versatile and also appropriate for our upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Yippee!
I knew I was going to use the Grateful for you image today. There are many people in our lives that we are ALL grateful for, that our lists must be miles and miles long. So, today I’m making this card for a very special someone in my life. This person came into my life many years ago, 30+….and I have been for ever and ever grateful all my life for him. This person is my husband, Tommy. He is a man of love, integrity, sincerity, humor, helpfulness, optimism, lover of his kids, generous, lover of his race car, computer nerd, lover of all things mechanical, a teacher & FUN! ….His incredible, undeniable assistance with getting mystampinheart blog all set up from the get go in WordPress, countless hours of teaching me HOW to work in it, teaching me the fundamentals of a computer in general, beyond emails and Word for documents, has been such a blessing. I, honestly, am not sure I would have been able to pursue this incredible endeavor and dream I have always wanted for my business. A blog! I am so happy for my blog, just can’t express it enough how incredibly thankful I am to him for encouraging me, staying the course with me over the past year and a half (yes, that long because “life happens” and it got put on hold), never wavering or showing frustration even though I WAS the frustrated one many, many times(my brain does NOT work in html, links, formats!)…I am SO grateful to him. But, cards, written words on them~ can speak volumes to show someone how much they mean to you. This card is for him. I will be forever grateful for him, always and forever and ever and ever.
My intention was not to get all sappy today, but just to perhaps give you an idea of one way to show your gratefulness to someone that is special in your life. Just a simple card that you can make and give to that special someone to show your gratefulness. What you write inside is something from your heart and what you make is something from your heart, also. This card is from deep inside my heart to someone I am so grateful for. I’m a card maker lover, and I made this card from my heart. As I do with ALL my cards, projects and gifts. My blog name is everything to me. It is the core of who I am while I create and share with you and the rest of the world. SO, as my blog came to be from the onset of fledging status to 99% complete, I am grateful. Grateful to a special someone.
First off the bat, I am in no way a tech savvy person AT ALL, but I have grown to actually enjoy coming and getting onto my computer, and working on my projects that I created and look forward to posting them. O Happy DAY! It NOW is something exciting and FUN. What? I said the word Fun? Yes, finally, it’s FUN!! ( I never thought 6 months ago anything with learning a computer would be FUN, much less learning a new blog platform and its complexities and greatness). I have gained a wealth of information of creating and working inside a blog platform. I feel so much more confident now. I look forward to continuing with my learning curves (I love learning things and if it has to be on a computer, well, so be it.) I want to share with you all that I know about stamping, creating, and making special things to give and send. I’m looking forward to reaching a straight line with learning curves behind me instead of in FRONT of me AND with an abundance of gratefulness for this dear sweetheart of a man and all that he is to me.
I love this image so much, the simple sentiment says it all. It is perfect for my card today.
I knew I would be using the beautiful, new designer series paper called Into the Woods (#139586), as this offers so many designs fit for Fall! It’s so lovely. I chose a pattern sheet as you see above. It is Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive color combo. This paper just makes me happy, happy, happy…just think the song by Pharrel Williams “Happy” I’m singing that in my head right now…Okay…I made a standard A2 card~ 5-1/2″ X 4-1/2″ standard size, then next I layered with the beautiful dsp (designer series paper, remember?) a smaller layer of Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Whisper White card stock.
I then stamped my image from the all NEW Lighthearted Leaves stamp set (oh now don’t get me started on this outstanding Fall stamp set!) I’ve got to get finished here. You will be seeing me use that stamp set though, so watch out! I took the image above and stamped in Archival Basic Black ink, then colored with my Blender Pen and some ink from the pads, Old Olive and Rich Razzleberry. Just mash your ink to the top of the pad and then grab some ink lightly using your Blender Pen. That’s all I did. If you need some help with doing this, email me anytime and I’ll explain. It’s so easy. Easy!
I used the adorable Acorn Punch that matches with this set, but you can use the PUNCH to punch it out on regular colored card stock and will look darling, too! Like I did!! I punched the Acorn in Old Olive card stock scrap, ran the embossing folder through using the Woodgrain EF to give a bit of “woodsy” look, punched out, then punched out the top using Rich Razzleberry after stamping the Grateful for You image in the White Kraft Ink. This set comes in Photopolymer which you can see through so I curved it down a bit before placing it on my block because it is straight when you pull it off the set. Just use your finger tips to maneuver it a bit on the block and it will do what you want it,too. That is such a great thing about Photopolymers!
That’s all there is to this simple, but cute little “I’m so grateful for you,” card. If you have hung on this far, I applaud you! You have lots and lots of patience. Thank you! Just know it makes me feel grateful to you because maybe you can think of someone you would like to make a special card for using this sentiment in just the manner I have. And this paper is simply beautiful. Hand painted patterns, lushness in all its glory.
I will write from heart inside and do my best to express my feelings to this sweet man. Love of my life. This card is a token from making something myself, hand stamped it and it will be written with love. There is nothing like having something tangible to have and to hold and to treasure as a keepsake for generations to come. For me, card making is something that comes from my heart while creating it, giving it warms my heart because I made it special for that person. If you want to join me on my journey of card making, memory making and paper crafting home decor projects and gifts, let’s chat or if you prefer, email me with any thing you want to chat about! I welcome you!
I can’t let this card go without a lovely envelope liner, I use my envie liner for all my cards, it just makes it even more special and beautiful.
Just a huge thank you for stopping by, feel free to leave any questions, comments, or chatter in the section below! Be sure to grab this set soon, you will love the images and especially the cute little ACORN with its VERY OWN punch!
Be sure to BROWSE the beautiful Holiday catty! You’re going to enjoy browsing, so much goodness in there!!

Today’s post is all about honoring all those fabulous teachers that give every bit of themselves to teach our dear children each and every day. Our teachers wear many, many hats in the lives of our children daily in not only instructing and assessing the needs of children, but they serve as role models, they are inspirational, motivational, they are nurturers, praise givers, recess observers, lunch room monitors, good listeners, and most of all, there each and every day to teach your children lessons and at times lessons about life. They are noble. They sacrifice a lot to make each day a valuable experience for our children. They are blessings and we should all be thankful. And I know you are!
I hope my card today offers a bit of inspiration to tuck into your child’s backpack to give to their teacher, or for the older kids out there (say middle school or even high school) to just leave a card on the teacher’s desk as a surprise to him or her later. What a welcome surprise for the teacher to wonder what it is and then to open it with sincere words of appreciation…well, wouldn’t it just make your day, I know it would make mine awesome.
Check out how this cute card all comes together~
Debbie’s “Deets” (short for “details” you knew that, though) on the card:
* I used Real Red for the card base and the cool looking Elegant Dots embossing folder – I thought it went well to kind of “match” the “dashes” in DSP (designer series paper). This is such a versatile design to use for many occasions. It’s packs a punch to a card. Next, I used a little Daffodil Delight (isn’t it just delightful?) card stock under the Schoolhouse DSP (this paper is such a cute bundle! check it out). Cut your Schoolhouse paper in the alphabets and get yourself some of the Linen thread twine out, cut about 5-6 inches of that, use your snail glue on the back of the paper edges, attach it where you want it. Let it “droop” some to give that “hanging look.”
* Punch out your small banners using the little banner punch (it’s so so so cute!) in what ever colors you wish. I used red and yellow. Place them on the ends of your banner “rope” with a half cut dimensional, that’s all ya need. Just eye ball it. And turn them outwards. You know what I mean. 🙂
* I used my tombow glue to plaster the Daffodil Delight and Schoolhouse Alphabet pieces down. This glue is SO forgiving. It allows you to “smoosh” the card pieces around to line them up perfectly. Well pretty perfectly if not perfectly. You get it. You only need to use a little, just outline the back side and down it goes. This stuff sticks! (and you can “maneuver” it around to line it up perfectly), it’s pretty cool stuff.
* Next I used the “note” banner stamp image from the Tap,Tap, Tap stamp set and used the craft white ink pad onto black card stock to give it that “chalkboard” LOOK. I cut out the banner image with the banner frame lit die. If you don’t have the Banner Frame Lit dies, you are missing out. These things work for so many ways to express your sentiments and to give “ribbon looks” on your projects and cards. There are SIX different sizes/widths to use. Awesome blossom. Page 173 in the Annual catty, so many different uses! You will need to trim the points with your snips, but the banner frame lit itself cuts out the width part. Isn’t that nice of the banner frame lit?
* I stamped the PERFECT sentiment for anyone, anytime of the YEAR no matter what DAY it is, “Hope your day is wonderful” from the Cottage Greetings stamp set. Check out this stamp set, I love the fonts in it! You can get it with a darling Card Kit on page 94, Annual catty. It’s such an adorably FUN set. I will be sharing with you some projects from this kit using this adorable stamp set soon. So you wouldn’t want to miss it, would you? (wink, wink!) I stamped this fabulous sentiment on a thin strip of whisper white card stock and hand cut right quick the banner point with my snips. I attached it with a “strip” of dimensional that is on the end of the dimensionals edges. Just cut a small narrow piece and then place on the back and slap on the “chalkboard” darling banner! Voila, you’re done!
Now write a sweet note inside to your child’s teacher that works every single day teaching your beloved littles. (I might refer to the younger children as “littles” so when I do, you’ll know what I mean), and don’t discount the “olders” (those are the middles and the high schoolers)they might just want to write some words of appreciation and leave a nice little surprise on the desk of a “fav” teacher they enjoy and look up to. You could also attach wonderful card to a banana walnut bread loaf or a pumpkin chocolate chip loaf wrapped in cello with red/yellow grosgrain ribbon for your sweet littles, middles or high schooler to take to a fabulous teacher!
So, today my card expresses my heartfelt wishes to all the great and fabulous teachers out there. YOU do make a difference in the lives of our beloved children. I “hope your day is wonderful!”
p.s. A lined envelope really completes your card. Just is a special touch. Check out the envelope liners on page 173 of the annual catalog. There are three sizes, too! I use these great little babies ALL the time! Makes your card so special and real snazzy! Oh and it gives a really nice “WOW” to all your cards, sophisticated I’d say.
Thanks so much for visiting with me today, sure hope you come back now! I’ve got some more in store for packaging and giving out to all those grand teachers as they, your children and you begin a NEW school year! Hope it’s the best one yet for everyone.
Take great care and have a great weekend!
From my stampin heart to yours (whether you’re a stamper or not!)

There’s bundles for all the SEASONS, too! So great.
Look! I made a card from the Howl-O-Ween Bundle! It looks like the Stampin’ Up! design on the gift bag. Isn’t SHE adorable! This card was put together using the delightful Washi Tape that accompanies the Happy Haunting DSP (designer series paper) page 47 in Holiday catty! Washi tape in case some of you aren’t familiar, is a decorative that tape that is non permanent SO you can remove it and fidadle with it! It is pretty cool stuff to use for adding a little sumthin’ sumthin’ to your projects. 🙂 I wanted to show you how you can make a great, colorful card, too. Or take off the top piece and attach to your halloween gift bag stuffed with delectable treats!
These two above were made using the Embellished Ornaments Bundle above. What a gorgeous set this is as it comes with intricate and beautiful framelits and makes stunning ornaments you could use to decorate a small twig tree to set on a buffet, make lovely holiday tags and simply make your holiday cards with this beautiful assortment of ornament dies and stamps. I love using envelope liners to line my envelopes and here I used our smashing red and gold foil designer series paper to match my red foil ornament and/or the gold ornament top/bow. One thing I did do was using our Owl punch guy and punched out the tiniest little “eyes” out of the red foil to match with the gorgeous red foil ornament. My fun little tip for you!
REMEMBER, these I’ve showcased are just a FEW of the many beautiful holiday BUNDLES in this wonderful Holiday 2015 catalog! SO, check it out!
