Just Because

DKD wm.IMG_99271

Isn’t it nice to get anything special from someone “just because?”  I know, it’s so sweet and the gesture can make you smile for days on end. 🙂  Today’s card features a really cool, sleek and “modern” version for a stamp set.  Or at least that’s my thinking on it.  The stamp is called Vertical Greetings.  It is one of those that you see and think, this set has some great sentiments! They can be used for lots of different occasions. (and that’s a plus!)

The new and beautiful Holiday 2016 offers this gorgeous patterned paper that is simply divine. It’s called Petals and Paisleys Specialty designers series paper!  Awesome, each and every sheet. I used this one because I kind of feel “fall” in the early mornings here lately and my Cajun Craze ink pad was calling. I answered the call, yippee! I just used my Stampin Write markers in Garden green to color the topiaries and Early Expresso for the little stems thingys. I then inked up the “pot” in Cajun Craze with my ink pad and cut it out. That was fun and didn’t take more than 27 seconds to do.  You can do it.  I popped it up on a dimensional to give that lovely dimension.  I stamped the sentiment Just Because in Cajun Craze as well.

I cut a strip of the patterened paper and wrapped some Linen twine around it about 4 times and and it was DONE!  How easy can it get! PLUS it is very snail mail “friendly” meaning no embellishments that could possibly “poke up” on the top of the card.  I always cut a small foam sheet thing and place over all my embellishments to protect them when I do use them on my cards that will be mailed. Just a tid bit tip! (say that 3 times really fast and be proud of yourself for making that happen.)  Here’s a close up for inquiring minds that want to peek 🙂

DKD wm.IMG_99282

So sorry about the “shadow” I will try better next time.  It’s late here and I really must take my photos when the bright sunshine is shining outside.

I really love this sentiment.  Gosh, you can use for treat holders to give to friends, neighbors, co workers, family peeps, and the Starbucks barista who lovingly makes your drinks just like you like them!  wink.

Remember the Thoughtful Branches stamp set is only here with us until August 31st! DON’T MISS OUT on this wonderful set!

Life Feels Empty Without You…

DKD wm.IMG_99161

There’s a little somebody that is sure missin’ you…ever feel this way about someone? Meet Bella.

She is so adorable.  The stamp set she lives in is called Bella and Friends and the images in this set are too cute for words, really.  SO KAHHHH-UTE! That’s all I can say, really.

You might be missin’ someone right now and maybe you need to just go ahead and express that. What a better way than sending darling Bella to that special someone.  I would wager to guess at some point in our lives we have felt this way or maybe even now in your life.  It’s not the greatest feeling in the world, that’s for sure.  But, when you send a card that expresses how you’re feeling when they’re away from you it just might do your heart good.  That is, if it’s right for YOU.

I played around with my aqua painter tonight and used Sahara Sand to “swish” it back and forth lightly on our amazing water color paper.  It works best if you use the water color paper I’ve found out.  The water absorbs easier and the end result is so much nicer.  I let it dry for a bit and afterwards, stamped Miss Bella in Momento Black ink and used the Real Red for my sentiment. The sentiment is from the Jar of LOVE stamp set, I’ll be sharing lots with that set and it comes in a Bundle, too, for a 10% savings!  Isn’t that the cat’s meow?

I then cropped the two top layers with our awesome square frame lits dies and just cropped off straight the bottom layer that is in Sahara Sand card stock.  Sponged in Sahara Sand all around these layers even the Real Red card base to kind of give it that “country, vintagey” look.  Then I got out my linen thread (my ol’ reliable, I use it ALOT), and fussed around with it to add a little dimension.

Her little RED heart is from those precious little enamel dots in the Brights pack. She sure wishes you would hurry home!

I hope you like her and I hope you take a peek at her adorable little family and snatch her up. I’ll have all the products I used for this card below, click on the image and it takes you to my online store, I have a STORE!  It’s so easy to order there and as a matter of fact, you can feel free to shop til’ you drop!  tee hee!  Go ahead, you deserve it!

Thanks SO much for your visit today!

I hope you have a relaxing and heart filled Sunday!!

As always, let me know how I can help in any way!  Until next time, love and hugs from my Stampin’ Heart!

HAPPY Hello!

DKD wm.IMG_99221

Happy Hello to you! 🙂 Not sure if this card could get any “brighter” do you think?Oh I’m sure I could have added some bling and that would do the trick, but today I wanted to put together some bright, happy colors to wake you up and hope you woke up on the right side of the bed and the wrong.  That would be not be good.

I sometimes forget that I have “background” stamps even though when I bought them, I thought “ewww yea, this would be so cool!” Then they get stored and then somehow they get “forgotten!” Do you ever have that happen?  Well, it’s not nice of us to just let them sit there all season and then “see them again” and go, gosh I need to showcase you!  So, today this is one that was the victim of being “ignored.”  I know…terrible. BUT, I think those little dots and circles are fun to stamp all around the card area, using any color imaginable! 🙂  So I went to town.  THEN, I thought I’m going to use my scribbles die since they’re in the “circle” form.  I used four colors on the whisper white and flirty flamingo was one, you have to look close to see it, but it’s there.

Then I die cut out the happy and stamped the Hello from the Crazy About You stamp set, it has hundreds of little sentiment stamps in it, well not 100’s, but close.  🙂 You need to have it, I’m not kidding.  I used Cucumber Crush because I have a “crush” on that green!  It’s so vibrant and cheery!  And vivid and fun.  I used the all NEW Classic Label punch for sentiments or anything that you want “slender” and it works so awesome!  I’ve been using it all weekend on projects I’m doing and it’s wonderful. Fits those narrow small sentiments like a kid glove.  Yes, kid glove.

I just used the one end and wacked the other end off. Attached it to my “happy” with the fine tip glue pen.  And by the way, that thing is awesome.  When I first bought it last year, I was having some fits with it, only because it was “pilot error.” ME.  You gotta be careful not to squeeze it out too quickly, just squeeze lightly and it will flow like you want it to. Just be gentle.  THEN right away when you’ve attached everything, put the top back on! That’s critical.  I attached some cucumber crush twine and then place THREE Flirty Flamingo enamel DOTS on the card in mysterious places.  Can you find them? How many?  Since I used Flirty on my card circles, I needed to coordinate Flirty somewhere else.  So, good luck. This might give it away where they are.

DKD wm.IMG_99242

I just think it’s a HAPPY card to wish you a Happy Hello today and to brighten your day with some very BRIGHT colors! Maybe a bit “busy” but that’s what my goal was.  Wink! wink!

I think open circles would be fun to stamp in a neutral color like crumb cake and then shade them in with a blender pen or the aqua painter for funsies in any color you want to. 🙂

I hope you have a wonderfully, joyful Monday and hope my card “woke you up” and made you smile!  All the products are below for your viewing.

Thanks so much for the visit and I’ll see you tomorrow at MyStampinHeart!

Hugs and love everyone,

Debbie

Flourish with Kindness

DKD wm.IMG_98855

Hey y’all!  Happy Saturday, hope you are spending it doing exactly what you love to do! AND if not, well, sure hope you get too soon enough!

Today I am combining two stamp sets of which are just beautiful images in both and their sentiments make such a statement from the heart. I hope you’ll agree.

First off, the lovely Real RED die cut comes from the Flourish Thinlits Dies set to match its compadre with the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set and boy do the two and two pack a punch of loveliness! The leaves I stamped in our Archival Black ink and they are in the Flourishing Phrases set, NOW the sentiment comes from can you guess?  You’re right.  The gorgeous Thoughtful Branches stamp set of which I showed a card yesterday from this beauty of goodness.

I don’t know if you can see it well enough in the photo, but I embossed the sentiment, so its shiny glossiness just really stands out to give it a little ZIP!  I wanted to finish it with the awesome Brand New in the Annual Catalog enamel DOTS in Brights, that made its DEBUT in June, BUT for us lucky demonstrators we got to see it back in April at our OnStage Event in Salt Lake.  See….if you’re a demonstrator, that’s one of the great perks, catty reveal is EARLY for us so we can get busy with all the fun stuff before the general public gets the BIG reveal!  We get really excited!!  So check these little “dots” out in the catty. 🙂

I used Real Red for my base, Black card stock and Whisper White for the top of the card. I did a couple of variations for this lovely card using different color die cuts of this pretty branch with the flowers that look like spread out tulips.  Aren’t they nice?

DKD wm.IMG_98866

Don’t you think kindness makes a difference in life?  I knew you did.  Gosh, there’s many I could send this card to because their kindness is so special to me.  Just being kind to people, pets and even strangers if you’re not in harm’s way.  Caring is kindness, care enough to be kind to someone every single day.  My card goes out to someone who is so very kind to me and I want to say thank you to them and let them know that their kindness DOES make a difference. It’s really all about the little things to spread your kindness that touches others. A simple smile to someone you don’t even know while you’re out and about, at work, at the market, anywhere.  Makes a big difference.  It shows kindness to smile to others even if you’re going through life’s twists and turns or you could be having a better day.  So, make up a bunch of cards with this sentiment, send it in snail mail and show your appreciation for their kindness.  It will make them smile. I just know it. 🙂

I made a few variations of this card here: I almost went crazy making this card using this awesome and beautiful die! I will show those later. 🙂

DKD wm.IMG_98732

I love the bottom trim cut out on this one!  It’s in that die set You NEED.

DKD wm.IMG_98833

This one I added a little ZIP! Splattered in black ink using my Aqua Painter, added the “diamonds” and the sparkly silver ribbon. I think this would work for a wedding card as well using the Bride’s colors. 🙂

I really think you you need this one in your stash as well as the lovely, limited time Thoughtful Branches I showcased yesterday.  Until August 31, it will leave us…Don’t be let out!  It’s uses are so versatile!! I promise! Here it is again in case you missed it yesterday!

Always in my Heart

Welcome to my blog today!  I just am jumping up and down (I really AM!) that I get to share you with y’all today!

Today’s card features beautiful products from the Thoughtful Branches stamp set that is ONLY available until the end of August. It is an All Exclusive stamp set only for a limited time! August 31st it goes away, so don’t miss out on this beautiful, very versatile set.  Let me tell you it is full of many options to use for various reasons in your life. The sentiments are perfect and the die cuts are gorgeous. I think you will really enjoy the die cut framelits and the BUNDLE is a cost savings PLUS!  We all just adore savings, don’t we??

Thoughful Branches
I used the sentiment Always in my heart, it actually says “and”  Always in my heart to be used on the inside of the card, or attached on the front of a card with another sentiment above it.  However, I just love what it means. I’m sure, if you’re like me, you have many people that stay close to your heart on a daily basis and will for all eternity. So, I decided I would use the Owl Punch (that stinkin’adorable heart) to “cover” OVER the “and” and put this sentiment on the front of the card to go to someone quite special to me.

DKD wm.IMG_98542

I think it works, shhhhh…don’t tell anyone because the purpose is for it to look like that’s the sentiment as a stand alone!   So…don’t tell anyone this important “secret.”    Not a soul. You can do it, too, when you get your set.  Yippee!  Sometimes you just gotta get extremely “creative” to make it work.

This beautiful stamp set comes in a BUNDLE for a 10% savings and the BUNDLE is really worth it as the frame lits  are so very intricate (but not too delicate), the impressions after cutting out are stunning.  I used Always Artichoke for the base, Early Expresso for the top layer and embossed it with the Woodgrain folder to “match” the tree trunk, stamped my sentiment and punched my hearts and put a pretty little linen bow and wrapped some linen around to give a bit of texture and voila! DONE!

I thought since I was putting this card in the vertical position, an OVAL frame lit would suit the bill.  I layered the tree branches a little “off” the oval to give some interest.  I know you must have someone that always lives in your heart that would be touched to receive a card in their MAILBOX.  You may also have someone that is not physically any longer with you, and while that is sad in many ways, you could make this sweet card and think of them. It could bring smiles for your memories.    But, pass it along to someone dear to you that you share your life with now, it will bring you joy to make it, send it, and bring smiles to the recipient.  I think you need this set.  I do. Think of a few peeps in your life that you appreciate.  I bet you can come up with at least a few.  Don’t you think the sentiment above in this stamp set that says I HOPE YOU FEEL APPRECIATED.  Every now and then it’s nice to know you are appreciated. I love this whole stamp set, now go back and up and check it out!  Yes, you need it in your stash.

DKD wm.IMG_98531

I hope you have a wonderful day today and make a card like this to give to someone that truly is always in your heart because they mean so much to you.

Thanks so much for dropping by!  Check out the Thoughtful Branches stamp set, while it’s only available until August 31, I just don’t want you to miss this beautiful limited time stamp set to add to your stash!  You’ll love it.   It’s a keeper! Watch for more to come with me using it!
