You are my SUNSHINE, MY ONLY SUNSHINE!

dkd-wm-img_01591

I just love this sunshine DIE!  It packs a pretty “punch” to your cards and lets others know how you feel.  How can you not be “brightened” with a HUGE ray of sunshine like this one??!!!  Okay then.  I wanted to keep this easy and quick going through “snail mail!”  It’s pretty “flat” with a tiny embellishment of the metallic brad in the middle of the sun and a few dimensionals propped up on the sentiment.

The stamped flower is from the stamp set Sunshine Sayings (I love that all the sentiments bring sunshine into the lives of others!)  You can mix and match to suit your needs here in this great set!  I decided to “splatter” it with using my Aqua painter in Daffodil Delight to give a little more interest.  Are you interested?  I hope so because this card is quite simple and carefree to boot! Oh and I used Early Expresso for the pretty flower and sentiment!

dkd-wm-img_01602

Prop this sweet and cheerful baby in an envelope and stamp “you are my sunshine” on the back of it and it’s good to go!  I hope you have someone in mind, I just bet you do!  Make their day, make this card and it’s so EASY.

Oh, guess what? I have a “stepped up” version of this card you may be interested in.  Look!

Just a wee bit of a close up/ the thinlit is #141489!  So many great thinlits! page 194 of the annual catalog!

dkd-wm-img_01621

I used the lovely Sunshine thinlit and off set the Early Expresso with Whisper White.  Gives a different look and the thinlit saying stands out much more.  Either one, remember you are someone’s “sunshine!”  Remember that. Make it a sunshine kind of day!  You deserve it!

Trick or Treat Halloween Cookie Cutter

dkd-wm-img_01523

Trick or Treat!  Welcome to my first Halloween card treat for you guys!  Halloween for those of you who enjoy sending little Halloween wishes to friends, family and peeps, nieces, nephews, co workers, neighbors, here’s a card that might just spook them into the Halloween spirit!

This little guy is from our Cookie Cutter Halloween stamp set from our beautiful Holiday catalog!  There’s the vampire, the mummy, the scarecrow for Fall or Thanksgiving and of course, this skeletal guy!  Oh and those “scary” little bats fluttering around to frighten all.  Did you see their eyes?  EEEEK!   I used Basic Black card stock and stamped the ink from the Basic Black Archival ink pad.  I used those ever lovin’ round scallop circle FRAMELITS, it’s so nice because we have half straight circles and then the scallops, too.  I love that option, and we all love our “options!”  Right?

The orange stripe designer series paper is from the Halloween Night Specialty paper on page 51 of the Holiday catty!  They are really pretty and smooth looking papers, check them out.  I used the sentiment from The
Spooky Fun stamp set on page 52 of the Holiday catalog.  Great Halloween stamp set, too!  Love it!  I bet you might be challenged to guess what I used to crop the trick or treat sentiment.  Can you guess?  Well I’ll leave you hangin’ until the end.  I know, I’m so mean.

The little guy was PUNCHED OUT from our Cookie Cutter Builder Punch!  It is so versatile!  Page 6 of the Holiday catalog, it’s sooooooo Cute!  Cuts out the reindeer, gingerbread guy, Eskimo, Santa, and teddy bear!  And some little bow ties, too to punch!  Love this punch!!!!!!

dkd-wm-img_01512

Thought I’d share the inside sentiment from Spooky Fun, page 52 Holiday catty.  You could insert some $$$ for child, teenager, young adult child, etc. that could use some extra $$$.  OR you could place a nice gift card to someone’s favorite restaurant or store to use.  Get it, “bootiful treat!”  You’re welcome. Those little bats kinda creep me out, but yet they’re kinda cute, too!  hahahaha!  Hope you take a peek at the products used for this Halloween card below.

REMEMBER, YOU CAN CLICK ON THE PRODUCTS BELOW AND IT WILL TAKE YOU DIRECT TO MY ONLINE STORE!  Isn’t that so wonderfully, fabulously convenient?   So, remember it’s SO easy to shop here!!

Moroccan Nights

dkd-wm-img_01421

Oh boy is our ALL NEW Copper Embossing powder stunning!  I’m not sure how well you can see the copper, but I will tell you it’s stunning in person.  You MUST have it.  You must.  Your cards in certain design situations, will be quite beautiful.  I used Very Vanilla card stock to emboss this gorgeous powder onto using the borders (top and bottom) from Moroccan Nights stamp set!  I then wanted a sentiment of thanks and Flourishing Phrases were calling my name.  “Pick me, pick me!”    So. I did.  I thought the scalloped framelits softened my sentiment which was also embossed in our Copper embossing powder.  It almost has an elegant “feel” if you know what I mean.

Take a closer peek here: dkd-wm-img_01442

Do you see the raised embossed sentiment and the borders better? I hope so!  This card would make for a “thank you” for a wedding gift, a trip gift, or ANYTHING you wanted it to be for.  It was such a cool and fun card to design!  I just wish you could see it in person!

You put the MERRY in my Christmas

DKD wm.IMG_0023 (1)1

Oh my gosh, do we have some cute little faces that need a Santa hat!  The adorable stamp set is called Jolly Friends!  We all have some jolly friends in our lives and you NEED these Jolly Friends in your life this holiday season, you will have fun with them, I think!  Well…I know you will.  I just thought the sunglasses would be just too cute on Mr. Claus, so I had to try it and see.  He’s a “Kool Kat” Santa if I don’t say so myself. I thought once I placed those “cool” lookin’ shades on him, he was just “too cool” for his britches.  Since he was “this cool” he warranted a role in a post.  He’s “stylin” with his Cherry Cobbler Santa hat/cap with his “dazzling diamonds darling” band along with his white pom on the end!  Betcha don’t know where THAT came from, do ya? Well…you’ll have to wait until you read further….  (wink).

DKD wm.IMG_0025 (1)3

The “cool” sentiment and you can take this which ever way or how ever way you wish to, just “fits” his  Kool Kat self.  See the trim at the bottom?  Good eye.  It’s a strip from the gorgeous This Christmas dsp! Page 172. AC.

I used the Santa builder hat PUNCH for his cap/hat (what do you call it, a Santa cap or a Santa hat?)  and the sentiment is from the totally AWESOME Ronald McDonald House charity stamp set. Did you that Stampin’ Up! donates $3.00 for each stamp set sold to the is wonderfully great charity for each stamp set sold.  It has some very, very, very Versatile images and sentiments this year that I think you’ll simply love!!  Page 209 of the Annual catty! You can see it in the navigation bar above, click Annual Catalog in pdf and go to page 209. Then you need to own it, it goes to such a worthwhile cause.  Stampin’ Up! is so awesome and so generous.

DKD wm.IMG_0024 (1)2

I stamped his image in Archival Basic Black (it’s luscious) and Cherry Cobbler.  Check out the embossing background.  It’s a dynamite embossing folder, it is just like a CABLE KNIT SWEATER!    It adds over the top TEXTURE to your card designs!  Guaranteed!  You must have it, peeps. OH…before I forget, did you figure out where the little white pom came from?  You did?  You did not, really??!  If you did, you are one smart cookie. It’s from the Whisper White mini pom pom trim page 179 in the annual catty!  Yep, snipped that little sucker and he found himself a little glue dot baby and bam, he’s found a new “home” on this one KOOL KAT santa’s cap/hat! Hat/cap! Hat! Cap!

I’m super excited about the Holiday catalog to share with you, it did its debut September 1!!!

Baby girl and Baby boy happiness

DKD wm.IMG_00224

Squeal!  HOW stinkin’ cute is this sweet lil’ baby girl card?  I just love the little carriage, reminds of the days of yesteryear when all the little babes were being strolled around in a carriage like this one.  🙂  As my babies were babies, we didn’t have carriages such as this one, they were on their way to becoming “more advanced” and with more bells and whistles.  BUT, today those sweet little “strollers” are more like mini tractor push alongs!  Goodness, I think I would need to go to the local community college and take a course in HOW to USE them!  Aren’t they awesome, though?  You can take the top carrier out and then use for a car seat, they have built in “stereo speakers” to play the baby lullaby’s and such.  It just amazes me.  So, that’s why this sweet little carriage reminds of the days of yesteryear because of “old” movies I’ve watched over the years, circa 1900’s.

Let’s move along to the card deets!  🙂  I used the THICK whisper white card stock for this card, that stuff is thick and sturdy, let me tell ya!  It’s great for cards with heavy embellishments and for 3-D projects of which you need to place little treats, candies, lotions, etc in.  I layered with Pink Pirouette and stamped the cute little “diaper pins” (does anyone out there still go this route with their babies?) and stamped the carriage in Blushing Bride as well as the pins.  The sentiments were stamped in Blushing Bride as well!  🙂  I used those awesome Circles scallop dies  for the background paper to host the darling carriage.  I love anything scallop.  Even scallop potatoes!

DKD wm.IMG_00203

The sentiments come from the Made With Love stamp set and then the “congratulations” sentiment I used our brand spankin’ NEW Classic Label punch.  Boy, I just love it this year. You can really fit lots and lots of our sentiment stamp sets in that sweet thing.

DKD wm.IMG_00171

We have some sweet friends that just had their new little baby girl and this card gets to travel to that sweet little miracle!  You can also, of course, use our Marina Mist, Soft Sky or even Navy if you want to go “traditional” for a little boy baby card.  All the images stamped on this card are from the Made with Love stamp set!  If you don’t already have it for those new babies that come into your life, you should take a peek.  It’s adorable!!!

Well, that’s it for today, hope you got some inspiration a bit for a sweet little baby card, this works for either boy or girl!

If you have any questions or need anything, just let me know!  I’d love to help you!

As always, happy stampin’ or doing what you love to do and I hope you get some time to do something you love. Me, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE stamping and Stampin’ Up!

Take care,

Debbie
