YOU are so Amazing!

Welcome, welcome, happy day to you! 🙂 DKD wm.IMG_78672YOU are so amazing, but you knew that, didn’t you?  Of course you are UH-MAZING! My card begins with something that goes like this~~~ You might know of someone that you feel truly is just that ~ AMAZING. It could be your child, family member, a friend, your spouse/significant other, boss, co worker, spiritual leader, a donor, the list could go on, of course.   We each have our own feelings about the term “amazing.”  My card is to inspire you to think of how you can make it and send it or give it to someone you think is pretty darn amazing. It’s really a quick card to put together. Check it out! The stamp set is called All Boxed Up!   You could create a little, sweet boxed up gift and make a tag using this sentiment to give to someone special that you feel is “so amazing” to you or did something you felt was amazing.  OR just simply make a card. A simple card.  Like the one I created here and hand out to your friends when you see them or someone you bump your buggy into at the grocery store, Target, the Yoga studio, the soccer games, the gym, the Starbucks barista, your hair stylist, …wouldn’t that just make someone’s day??!! Better yet, make a little note card and tuck inside a child’s lunch box. How sweet is that?

DKD wm.IMG_78651   I chose this adorable, bright scallop pattern paper from our 6″ X 6″ paper stack, Cherry on Top.  A great stack that comes in a pack of 48. Both sides have a different pattern from each other, but still coordinates and looks sweet!   Yes, different patterns on both sides!  Great value, I tell ya!   The 6 X 6 paper stacks fit perfectly in the Big Shot. our AMAZING embossing and cutting machine!  (yes, mr. Big Shot, who do you think you are…I’m singing the tune, remember it?) and there’s no need for trimming up your card stock to make it fit with those nifty 6 X 6’s.  I decided to choose Tip top taupe as my base color and watermelon wonder for my cute frame lits!  Oh my goodness, the frame lits are so great for all different sizes of sentiments, p.173 in the annual catty, there’s 7 of these little sweeties, you will find yourself grabbing for these as they are so versatile for sentiments and tags, too! Make great tags! I layered these three as my focal point with dimensionals (they raise the paper for dimension), but YOU knew that, though.  Then punched out the stars with the Stars confetti punch and that made for a very SIMPLE card!  I used my Tombow green bottle glue to and put on the end of my piercing tool ( a dab), grabbed the little guys and placed them where I thought they would look AMAZING.  Such a simple card that packs a “WOW” meaning.    Don’t you think?  Easy, easy, oh so easy!  I did use adhesive Snail to adhere the adorable designer series paper from this AMAZING 6 X 6 stack!

I always love giving my cards with those great envie liners!  They just make it a bit extra spiffy! I bet you can think of someone special whom you think is SO AMAZING, couldn’t you? Well, then what are you waiting for?  Here’s the perfect card with the perfect sentiment to show your exact thoughts.  This is why I just love card making, you can give your love of stamping and along with your heart to show others how much you think of them in creating the perfect little card, your way.  Get creative and make someone’s day.

This is super simple, super quick and you will feel proud you made it in under 15 minutes max!   Go take a look on page 63, Annual catty!  It’s a great one especially if you love to bake your goodies and share with neighbors and friends!   I’d be happy to answer any questions, any time! Your comments are always welcome, too!!

BIRTHDAY greetings!

Today’s birthday card is SO simple and SO easy.  You’ll be able to get this cheerful, lovely birthday card made in 10 minutes flat.  I promise.  It features the vibrant and CHEERFUL Cherry on Top Stack.  It is our 6″ X 6″ stack that just screams bright, colorful and CHEEER-EE!! DKD wm.IMG_80581 I just love this Happy Birthday font, it’s all swirly gig like and I like swirly things as a previous post I did last week!  This font is from our Age Awareness stamp set and it’s a rather humorous set, too.  I think it is so fun and would make any of your friends smile if you made a card using it! Aren’t the balloons so vibrant and festive?  Well….I thought you’d probably agree, see we’re already friends, to be able to agree that the balloons on this card stack is so vibrant and festive, is just amazing!  We know pretty paper.

Here’s a few Debbie’s Details:  Ready?  Let’s go!

*Cucumber Crush is the lucky base for my card today! It’s also the green color that is in the paper.  Cucumber Crush. It’s one of our NEW 2015-2017 IN COLORS!  Yes, “in” as in fashionable in the paper craft world.  You want these colors in your paper palette because you want to be “in,” so take a peek, p.137 Annual Catty.  You can click on Catalogs at the top of my blog and flip through the catty at your leisure!! I cropped out the beautiful color of watermelon with those darlin’ little Lots of Labels framelits, I use these ALL. THE. TIME.  They come in 7 layering stacks.  My greeting is stamped in Bermuda Bay ink on Whisper White.  Shhhh…..whisper when you say “Whisper White” it has very sensitive ears.

*I placed two Candy Dots on the ends.  No, you cannot eat them. I guess you could.  But, I wouldn’t I don’t think.  The stacked two framelits are popped up with those great little dimensionals.  These little tykes are great for everything that you want “noticed!” I used a ton because they’re reasonably inexpensive and they really can make a card “stand out.”  Isn’t that what you want when you lovingly create your card creations?  Of course you do.  You made something very special for those in your life that are VERY SPECIAL.  Or maybe they’re acquaintances or even someone you have never met, but you want your card to be special, right? Dimensionals go along way, especially when it’s a simple card like this one, because your greeting has DIMENSION, isn’t that just neat? I hope you enjoyed this simple, cheerful, vibrant and a good wish birthday card today.  I sure enjoyed making it, I made so many cards with that Cherry On Top card stack because I love that stack!  Be sure to check it out and then fall in love. DKD wm.IMG_80623 Thank you ever so much for stopping by today! I love sharing what I do with you. Stamping and all things paper, truly is deep down in my heart, I love it so.

Have a great Tuesday and let me know if you have any questions or want to leave a comment, please do! 🙂

From my stampin’ heart to yours (even if you’re not a stamper), maybe you’ll give this wonderful, relaxing, creative craft a try if you haven’t come over to the FUN side of paper crafting!  This is fun stuff.  No kiddin.” I’d love to help you get started.

Take care now!

Pumpkin patch days of Fall

Good ol’ Pumpkin Days!

DKD wm.IMG_80321

It’s that time of year, pumpkin patch days, hayrides, hot apple cider, and family fun with friends. I can remember growing up going on hayrides to the pumpkin patch, picking out the “perfect” little pumpkin…to me, it was “the perfect pumpkin!”  You know that feeling?   Nothing says Fall like the leaves turning their bright vibrant colors, pumpkins sprouting out everywhere, some find a home on a porch, some like to be chosen in the patch fields, brought back home for decor or carving, and always the market is selling a truck load for you to pick out the “perfect” pumpkin.  Maybe you gets yours for baking, for carving or even for home decor…pumpkins aside from the leaves changing their magnificent colors, shout out”It’s Fall!”  That’s what I think, anyway…do you?  Cooler days, hot apple cider, hot chocolate, pumpkin spice everything and cozying up the fire with a good book, a fluffy, fleece cozy “throw” and nestling in! Fall! It’s here!

My card today (made two) shares a “thinking of you” sentiment going out to my sweet daughter in Texas and my sweet son, in New York.  I want to let them know I am thinking of them and remembering all those many, many fall seasons of fun in the pumpkin patches as they were growing up…lots of photo taking, lots of endless wandering and looking for that “perfect pumpkin” for their eyes to spot.  Such good times, wonderful family time, and great pumpkin carving “contests!” The dog days of “pumpkin hunting!”  So much fun. Always remembered, always with love.

DKD wm.IMG_80406

It took me a couple of tries to get this one right.  Well, in my mind, right.  I knew I was going to do the scene.  That was the EASY part.  But, what colors did I want my window to be with it’s darling little “ledge,” did I want to showcase dsp, what was my base color going to be, I knew I wanted a small sentiment, but didn’t want to overpower the card with a large one.  So here’s what I came up with and the thinking behind it all.  I’m excited to tell you!

DKD wm.IMG_80384

Debbie’s Details:

*Early Expresso won the base! It was thrilled to be chosen!  Next, Very Vanilla, EE, Tangelo Twist, EE, pretty dsp from the Bohemian collection, then my EE window frame to showcase the scene “outside!” Yay, I finally found the color combo to begin my card….finally….such thought and sentimental feelings went  into my card today.

*Happy Scenes stamp set is such a DELIGHT!  Different scenes for whatever you heart desires of the seasons! It is so awesome because it comes in a BUNDLE (15%) savings with Herth and Home Thinlit dies, too!  The die is the window you see here and the ledge! Isn’t that so fun? Check out page 11 of the Holiday catty!

*I sponged with our sponges a mixture of colors: Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and a little bit of Cajun Craze for my background color on Very Vanilla card stock.  Just sponge ever so lightly until you get the look you want, I wanted a distant sun coming down and a pale ground cover in Old Olive and a bit of Always Artichoke.  Very lightly I sponged.

*Colored in the cutest little pumpkins ever in Tangelo Twist with my Stampin’ UP! marker. Dusted the falling leaves in the same color as well.

*Layered Very Vanilla, Early Expresso, and Tangelo Twist with Tombow glue and used the trusty and awesome dimensional to “lift” up the dsp and my darling little window.  I used a bunch of those little babies. I also used a long strip of dimensionals for my ledge as well!

* Thinking of You sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  I cannot tell you how many times I have used these sentiments over the years.  It’s a keeper.  I tied a cute little bow out of the Linen thread, which gives it such a warm, casual “feel.”

I’ve listed below in my supply list all three ways to order the stamp sets.  If you do not have the stamp set and want the thinlits, too, the Bundle is the best way to go. You could make boo coos of cards using just the stamp set with the Thinlits that I used here.  So many options.  But, we love options in life, don’t we???

That’s it for my card today.  I hope it brought back memories or you’re looking forward to future memories to come of the Pumpkin Patch days in your life…or of days gone by …..and many more pumpkin patch days to come.  I will always remember my littles and our family pumpkin patch days.  Good times. And there have been many.  I am so thankful.

A card for Baby

Aren’t babies simply wonderful?  It’s always a good idea to have on hand a few baby cards.  You never know when you’re going to be invited to those exciting baby showers for the new Mommy-to-be and you’ll be ready to go with your card, baby girl or baby boy!  All you need is a sweet little something for baby!  I made for you both a PINK and BLUE (keeping to traditional baby “colors”) card today and they were so much fun!

DKD wm.IMG_80181

I used my black background for them as I thought the white background was too light to really see the adorable lil’ details.  So much fun, okay here’s the details!

Debbie’s Details:

  • I used the adoring Baby’s First Framelitsp.172 Annual Catalog and they coordinate with the Made with Love and Something for Baby stamp sets!  Oh my gosh. So stinkin’ cute!  I used the little “onesie” framelit and cut out Blushing Bride and Marina Mist with it.  I then cut out the little white bib with the bib framelit.
  • For the little “daddy’s girl” onesie I heat embossed with our lovely embossing powders in White.  I used the “made with love” stamp image from Made with Love stamp set, dipped into some Versa Mark that is used for embossing and voila!  It stood out great. The first time I used it on Blushing Bride card stock onesie the white Kraft ink was too light.  So I embossed it!  Magic!    The Made with Love stamp set is such a darling stamp set, has sweet sentiments and images that will melt your heart! I promise.
  • I punched out the two sweet hearts in Whisper White card stock from the trusty ol’ OWL PUNCH!  I use pieces from that punch more than I count. Literally.
  • The little scallop collar I ran through the Big Shot guy JUST the top collar and released it and used the 7/8″ inch scallop punch and punch a bit away to create a scallop collar. Darling!!  Wrapped some white thin Baker’s twine around three times and tied a bow and placed down with a glue dot.
  • For the little guy onesie I glued the baby collar which I ran through the Big Shot guy to the Marina Mist onesie and punched a Marina Mist heart from the Owl punch and glued on with Tombow glue. I stamped “made with love” in our Kraft White ink.  I didn’t need to embossed it because it showed up vibrant and bright.
  • Designers Series Papers – (dsp) are both from the Subtles Color paper stack.  This pack will be listed below.  Both sides of our dsp stacks have different beautiful patterns on both sides!  Isn’t that just awesome blossom sauce!  Yes, it is! 🙂
  • Adhered Whisper White to each card base and then adhered the significant gender pieces to that.
  • Dimensionals!! – I POPPED UP both onesies on dimensionals! So cute in person.  It just gave a bit more pizzaaaazzz to the overall card.
  • Your ENVELOPE – Don’t forget to decorate it, too.   That would be sad if you didn’t, after all you have ink and your adorable stamp set. Use it top of your project!  Goes a long way in the “cuteness” factor!
  • These cards are 3-1/2″ X 5″ and fit into our Notecards and Envelops -5-1/8″ X3-5/8″ envelope on p.149, AC. This is the PERFECT card size for a sweet little baby gift to attach to. I chose to use colored card stock for these baby cards in lieu of using the standard White cards that come with this set.  The extra white cards I use to layer other standard A2 cards, just cut them in half with your stampin’ trimmer, stamp an image and layer on top of any color of card stock you choose to!  Or you could make your own envelope with our awesome Envelope Punch board!  It’s great, too!

Here they both are up close and personal!  We like that, don’t we, so we can see the darling-ness better!

If you have any questions, I’m just an email away!  Would be happy to help!  I love these darling “baby boy and baby girl” cards!  Great for showers or when baby is here!  Remember they are smaller, so they will be perfect to attach to a gift!
